Cancelled: 13th IWA Conference on Design, Operation and Economics of Large Wastewater Treatment Plants

In the last weeks we had a number of cancellations from delegates all around the world. At the same time the IWA moved the World Water Congress in Copenhagen to May 2021 and the Singapore Water Week has been postponed to June 2021. With our conference being scheduled in the middle between these world leading events in the water sector and the currently low number of registered delegates, we see no opportunity to run the LWWTP2021 conference as a truly international event that brings together experts from all around the world. We therefore regret to inform you about our decision to completely cancel the LWWTP conference in Vienna.

The specialist group on Design, Operation and Costs of Large Wastewater Treatment Plants will soon start with the preparations of the next events that are planned in Singapore and Budapest.

All registered presenters will be informed with a separate email about how to proceed with their planned contribution for the LWWTP conference. We are currently exploring options to transfer a part of our scientific program into the next LWWTP conference in Singapore.

We really apologise for all the inconvenience this cancellation is causing each of you but we feel that we cannot organise a LWWTP conference that lives up to all our expectations under these unusual circumstances.

With kind regards on behalf of the organising committee
Norbert Jardin and Jörg Krampe
